Guddu Muslim, another accused in Umesh Pal’s murder, was an expert in building bombs, according to a relative of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, who said he used to instruct the dead ganglord’s subordinates. “Guddu Muslim was so skilled at making bombs that he used to prepare the explosive in a moving bike,” said Mohammad Jishan, a relative of Atiq Ahmed.
“He used to teach this process to Atiq Ahmed’s henchmen,” Jishan explained to ANI.
He claimed that the gangster once forced him to surrender his belongings to Shaista Parveen, Atiq Ahmed’s wife.
“Atiq sent his son Ali to my house accompanied by 25 shooters to transfer the land in Shaista Parveen’s name and demanded Rs 5 crores in extortion,” he added.
“Ali told me that his father wants to talk to me,” he added, as everyone levelled their firearms at him. On the other end of the phone, Atiq demanded Rs 5 crores and pressured me to sell my land to Shaista.”
“Later, Atiq ordered indiscriminate firing,” Jishan explained, adding that he somehow fled. He also stated that he filed a FIR and that Ali is only being held in this matter.
On Sunday, three shooters acting as journalists, Arun Maurya, Sunny Singh, and Lovelesh Tiwari, killed down Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf, while they were being transported to Prayagraj for treatment. Atiq Ahmed-Ashraf Ahmed Murders: On April 24, the Supreme Court will hear a petition seeking an independent investigation into the murder of a gangster-turned-politician and his brother.
Atiq Ahmed was charged in the 2005 murder of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal, as well as the murder of Umesh Pal in February of this year.
