New Delhi, December 8: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Thursday that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is on its way to becoming a national party with the votes of the people of Gujarat. More than half of the votes have been counted in most of the assembly seats in Gujarat, out of which BJP has got 54 percent votes. While Congress got 27 percent and AAP got 13 percent votes.
Sisodia tweeted, “Aam Aadmi Party is becoming a national party today with the vote of the people of Gujarat. For the first time the politics of education and health is making a mark in national politics. Congratulations to the whole country for this.
The BJP seems to be heading towards a landslide victory in Gujarat. According to the latest trends, the party has won 73 out of 182 seats in the assembly and is leading in 85.
Voting for the assembly elections in Gujarat was held in two phases on December 1 and 5.
Congress has won seven seats and is leading in nine, while AAP is ahead in two with victory in two.
