Suzuki Motorcycle India (Suzuki Motorcycle India) on Wednesday launched the all-new Burgman Street EX (Burgman Street EX) in the country at Rs 1,12,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is almost Rs 19,000 more expensive than the current variant, which costs Rs 89,900. The new EX variant of the scooter will be sold alongside the existing model. The 25cc premium scooter comes with a choice of three colors – Metallic Matte Platinum Silver No. 2, Metallic Royal Bronze and Metallic Matte Black No. 2. Talking about the looks and design, the Burgman Street EX features a sleek body design as well as front and rear light systems with LED lights for better visibility.

The scooter is powered by FI technology while the Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) engine is a more advanced version of Suzuki Eco Performance technology, which offers higher fuel efficiency. This technology comes with EASS functionality, which automatically switches off the engine when it is idling and starts it again as soon as the rider throttles up. This helps in reducing the fuel consumption as well as emissions. Such technology is especially beneficial at traffic lights and stop-and-go traffic.
Talking about another great feature of this premium scooter, it is its new silent starter system, which helps in starting the scooter easily. This function works in conjunction with EASS to silently restart the engine when the rider opens the throttle to resume riding.
This scooter gets a 12-inch rear tire wheel which is wider, bigger and more luxurious. Its large diameter wheel helps in improving city riding efficiency. Other key features of the Burgman Street EX include Suzuki Ride Connect which comes with a digital console that supports Bluetooth. Through this technology, the rider can sync his mobile phone with the scooter. After which features such as turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call, SMS and WhatsApp alert display as well as missed call and unread SMS alerts can be used.
Other notifications appearing on the digital console include overspeed warning, phone battery level display as well as estimated time of arrival. Connecting a phone to the console is quite easy and both Android and iOS phones can be connected
Engine & Power
The new Suzuki Burgman Street EX is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder motor. It will give 0.1 PS less power than the current variant. This engine generates maximum power of 8.6 bhp at 6,750 rpm and peak torque of 10 Nm at 5,500 rpm.competition
The new Suzuki Burgman Street EX will compete with scooters like TVS NTorq 125, Yamaha Fascino 125, Aprilia SXR 125 and Honda Activa 125 in the Indian market.
