There has been an accident with a worker in the United Arab Emirates. According to the information received, the worker’s hand was cut off after getting stuck in the machine during work. The Abu Dhabi Civil Court has ordered the employer to pay damages to the worker. The worker used to work as a waiter in a restaurant.
Worker demands Dh200,000 compensation
Let us tell you that the worker has filed a complaint saying that he should be paid Dh200,000 for the loss during the work. The worker sought Dh200,000 from his employer for damages.
Employer’s responsibility to take care of worker on site
The worker said in his complaint that such safety precaution should be followed by the employer during work and such equipment should also be used which reduces the risk. But the employer did not take care of any such thing due to which this terrible accident happened with the worker. Now the court has ordered that the employer should pay Dh100,000 i.e. around Rs 22 lakh as compensation to the worker.
There are many incidents where the workers have to face lot of trouble and misfortune on site due to lack of adequate safety precautions. This is the reason that according to the law, if the employer does not make good arrangements at the site, then it is his responsibility to compensate the worker for any kind of problem.
