The police of Cyberabad, adjoining Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, have busted the biggest online sex racket. Police have registered 39 cases and arrested 17 people. The police’s anti-trafficking department has rescued 14,190 victims from different states of the country and including some foreigners. Telangana Police has described this as the biggest action against the online sex racket.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra said the police had launched a joint operation with a special team. The sex racket was being operated through offline and online websites, mobile phone-based apps and social media platforms. Vehicles and mobiles of the accused have also been seized. The manager of a prominent hotel has also been arrested.
