New Delhi: After the victory of the Congress in Himachal Pradesh, the process of forming a new government has now intensified. In this regard, a meeting of the newly elected MLAs is going to be held in Shimla today. Himachal in-charge Rajiv Shukla and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda will also attend this meeting.
Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh is leading in the race for the post of Chief Minister. Apart from Pratibha Singh, three-four other leaders are also involved in this race. A decision on this can be taken in the meeting of the Legislature Party to be held in Shimla today. In this meeting, the MLAs can hand over the responsibility of electing the CM to the Congress President.
However, Pratibha Singh, the state president and wife of former CM Virbhadra Singh, is leading in the CM race and she herself has staked claim for the post of CM. Pratibha Singh’s son Vikramaditya Singh has also expressed his desire to make his mother the CM. Pratibha Singh said that this election has been won in the name of Virbhadra Singh. Can you ignore your family legacy? With this statement of Pratibha Singh, the political stir has increased in the state.
Another name in the CM race is Vikramaditya Singh, son of Virbhadra Singh. Vikramaditya Singh has won from Shimla Rural seat for the second time. Vikramaditya took out an employment struggle tour across the state before the elections to connect the youth. Vikramaditya is young and by doing this the party can give a new message to the youth.
Mukesh Agnihotri is the third name in the CM race in Himachal. For the last five years, Mukesh has played the role of Leader of Opposition in the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Apart from this, he has been elected MLA five times. Former Congress president Sukhwinder Singh’s name is also ahead in the race for the chief ministership. Apart from this, Dhaniram Narenuram Sandil is also in the race for CM.
